Net Neutrality Turns Down Telecom, Cable and Wireless

The U.S. Appeals Court upheld Net Neutrality today. Net Neutrality allows government regulation of telecom, cable and wireless services. Relating to internet service providers (ISPs), the FCC will oversee how they handle web traffic on their networks. This includes allowing the FCC to review consumer complaints against ISPs. Next, the telecom industry will take their fight to the Supreme Court. Consumers, the FCC and internet businesses seemed pleased with the outcome. Click here to read the complete ruling. I knew where her car was parked because we had driven to work at the same location. I had a key, so I told my son, "let's go get your Mom's car, cool it off and take it to her." Remembering Sacrifices for Justice and Freedom

Today we remember all of the men and women who gave the lives in the service of our country as the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms that our nation continues to enjoy. As I skimmed posts and thoughts others were sharing, one in particular caught my attention. It included a short excerpt from President Truman's speech on April 16, 1945 to a joint session of Congress during World War II. "Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices. Because of these sacrifices, the dawn of justice and freedom throughout the world slowly casts its gleam across the horizon." Memorial Day should remind us that every pursuit for a cause is not accomplished without sacrifice. Right here. Right now. We have this day to continue striving to make a difference for others. It is one of the best ways to attempt repaying the immense debt we owe....

A few takeaways: Engage people to act and share - to be a part, participation - skills and talents; not just giving money. Silence is apathy; let your compassion win - possess everyday drive and get up to fix the broken and unresolved for the betterment of our world. Engage with people/organizations who are on the ground making change. Movements make the change. Repeat your message with conviction that won't let go. Love the cause.
