The Best Leaders

The Best Leaders

The best leaders, employers, directors and managers I’ve served found a way every time to work through differences - opinions, perspectives, lack of awareness., personalities, faults, failures, genders, etc.... Not pacifying or demanding perfection - finding balance for what’s best and showing respect. Avoiding polarizing career stereotypes and there familiarity. Willing to trust your proven performance and talent. I am amazed at how they balanced so many different types of people and skillsets to achieve the goal and find success. At the same time I’m amazed how poor leaders were allowed to do what they do. When I’ve lost that type of great leadership in my life, I thank God when I’m able to gravitate back toward it. Stay focused and do what is right - let the bad ones go - be a light sparking others and shining a reflection of a greater Light! ❤️ #truth #leadership #leaders #upline chaltonhiott...

A Tale Of Two Workplaces

A Tale Of Two Workplaces

I worked at Stonebriar Community Church full-time from 2012 to 2017 in the resource and support areas as Webmaster and Director of Web Services. Resource and support staff departments were excellent under leadership of the Senior Director and Business Administrator. Family and personal benefits were great during this time. From my experience during 2012 to 2017 there was little down side to the job or work environment in the resource and support staff areas. During this time our family also became very involved serving with children, worship and student ministries. Also, our special needs son found a place to establish meaningful connections - it was such a relief to find this level of support and care as special needs parents. The special needs pastoral leader and team were incredible. Pastor Chuck Swindoll and Dr. Steve Farrar are great teachers and speakers. Beginning 2018 the Senior Director of Resource Ministries position was eliminated, resource ministries area dissolved and departments along with the Business Administrator...

The Order Of Life

The Order Of Life

When revenge, jealousy and personal gain are at the top of the list of life's priorities disorder will never cease and direction can't be found. “All who indulge in a sinful life are dangerously lawless, for sin is a major disruption of God’s order. Surely you know that Christ showed up in order to get rid of sin. There is no sin in him, and sin is not part of his program. No one who lives deeply in Christ makes a practice of sin. None of those who do practice sin have taken a good look at Christ. They’ve got him all backward.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:4-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬ https://www.bible.com/97/1jn.3.4-6.msg I must keep perspective of God's order in my life and the lives of those around me. Time reveals how well a person or organization is ordering life. Consistency is the reward for choosing the courageously right things most often every day. Chaos is the reward for selfishness and fear. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!...

The Arduous Journey

The Arduous Journey

So I should love someone who misunderstands me? Criticizes me? Will not hear me? Puts me down? Belittles me? Hurts me? Abuses me? Crushes me, my family, those I am responsible to care for and love? THE ANSWER: “For this is the original message we heard: We should love each other.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭MSG‬‬ https://www.bible.com/97/1jn.3.11.msg Living and loving as Christ did goes against human nature to exact revenge against someone who does the things I first mentioned. I can only trust God to help me make it through this trial. How will He? When will He? Why won't it happen? I must trust Him. It looks like I may lose all on earth. Is this the plan? All lost on earth and gaining eternal life is better for me; but what about those I am responsible for on earth - sorting and dealing with this is the tough task. I can only trust God to help me handle it wisely. It challenges human reason. Pushes me...

Mark Johnson Work and Family Experience 2012 – 2019: Stonebriar Community Church

2012-2017  I worked at Stonebriar Community Church full-time from 2012 to 2017 in the resource and support areas as Webmaster and Director of Web Services.  We established and began growing a social media strategy and presence for the organization. Also, we formed and implemented a plan to redesign and develop organization websites. Resource and support staff departments were excellent under leadership of the Senior Director and Business Administrator. Family and personal experiences were great during this time. During 2012 to 2017 there was little down side to the job or work environment in the resource and support staff areas. It was a very unified team - not without challenges, but collaborating together through it all. Throughout this time our family also became very involved serving with children, worship and student ministries. Also, our special needs son found a place to establish meaningful connections - it was such a relief to find this level of support and care as special needs parents. Pastor Chuck Swindoll...
