How Lucky Am I?

I am a simple man, and I believe that often the right choices in life can be the simplest to make. When in question, do what is right. As our nation faces very difficult and challenging times during this election season, I think moving through them requires simply looking back at our core foundation. Why did the men and women of the American revolution want liberty in the first place? What role did their faith play in their lives? Have we forgotten the price for fighting injustice and how precious it's reward is? Has our enjoyment of freedom for so long totally warped the framing of freedom's entitlement? "Not too long ago, two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, "We don't know how lucky we are." And the Cuban stopped and said, "How lucky you are? I had someplace to escape...

Post RNC and DNC: My Four Things

Post RNC and DNC: My Four Things

$148 million dollars and two weeks later, the RNC (Republican National Convention) and DNC (Democratic National Convention) have ended and I am motivated to do four things: Remember God's priority in my heart and every aspect of life. If we remember Him, He will remember us. Remember to pray every day for our leaders, nation and world. Live out my best for family, friends and neighbors to make our communities, cities, states, country and world a better place. VOTE! Educate myself. Pray & think about it. Make a choice. Love one another. Live better.  Lookout for corruption. Be aware of wrong. Ask why. Government belongs to US - We The People! Remember these dates: Sept. 26 — Presidential debate at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio Oct. 4 — Vice presidential debate at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia Oct. 9 — Presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis Oct. 19 — Presidential debate at University of Nevada-Las Vegas Nov. 8 — Election Day The 2016 Republican National Convention was estimated to have cost $64 million dollars. The...

Gentleman’s Note #26

Gentleman's Note #26 characteristics I want my son and son-in-law to see and learn by watching me BE HER BEST VALET Today was a scorching hot day in Texas. I knew where her car was parked because we had driven to work at the same location. I had a key, so I told my son, "let's go get your Mom's car, cool it off and take it to her." He was pretty impartial to the idea as he expressed how much more important it was to discuss what happened after she received her car - taking him to the playground. I had inquired to find out when she would be leaving the building. My son and I went to her car, cooled it down and drove to the curb to deliver her car. When your lady is arriving at or departing from a location, be her best valet. Provide the most comfort and safety possible. If she is driving separately from you, always make certain her vehicle is equipped...
